The Unveiling

Well, the wrappings came off today and I got a real shower and hair-washing. As you can tell, the surgery knee is still a little chubbier than it's normal chubbiness but it feels pretty good and I can bend it pretty well. Still not full range of motion but that's just the swelling. For those who are wondering what went on, I had a Meniscectomy on ny right knee. The doctor thought he would be repairing a torn meniscus but what he ended up doing was reconstructing it so that it was normal. Apparently, the meniscus is supposed to be shaped like a C and mine was shaped like a pancake and the layers had separated. Next up-a bunionectomy.

I Knee'd You

It started a year ago but here is the final result of a year of on again off again issues with my knee that ended up with it being a constant problem so the doctor decided to scope my knee. He was pretty sure that he would find some damage to my meniscus and possibly some arthritis. Here is a picture of my knee pre-surgery. They let me mark it with the red pen to show which knee was the one that would be getting surgery. then the Dr. came in and autographed the one he would be working on-they matched.
