Johnson Family Reunion

Every 24th of July weekend we attend the family reunion for Byron's family. We always head to Idaho to camp and run the Salmon River.

This was the view from our campsite

All set up!

This year we took Dallon and Skyler.

Getting ready to make jalepeno poppers in the dutch oven. This is the cream cheese filling.

The peppers all prepped.

Camryn trying to stuff peppers and not have her picture taken.

All ready for the dutch oven. This was our first attempt at this. Next time we'll cook them in shifts. They don't stack very well.

There is an old mining town near where we camp so we took the boys to see the ghost town.

Skyler had way more fun than it looks like here.

Brotherly Love

Following are some pictures of the old buildings, the cemetary, etc.

Panning for gold. Everybody found some!

Every year Byron's brother-in-law, Gene, brings his air compressor that he has rigged up to launch rockets using air. Everyone builds their own rocket and then they get to push the button to launch it.

Making the rockets.

Getting ready to launch it.

Up it goes!

Mom Turns 80

June 30, 2010
My mom turned 80 years old. We had a little get-together at my oldest brother's, Mike, house to celebrate. That's my mom in the middle holding Preston who, at the time, was her newest great-grandchild. She has added 3 more since then with more to come before the end of the year.
The following pictures are in no specfic order just some of the party goers.

Looks like Lilly has been sampling lunch a little early.

Lunch is done, even the pie. Coconut cream-yum!

This is the card that Kellee gave Byron.

Funniest card....ever.

Byron's favorite present-seriously-he loves this guy. Byron named him Gordon.

Dan gave him some cilantro seeds and a little pot to grow it in.

New shirts! These were a big hit as well.

New camp chair

The Boys of Summer

Dallon ans Skyler are playing baseball this summer and they play twicw a week. Byron and I have been trying to make it to at least one of them per boy each week. Here are some pictures of them in action.
Dallon warming up on the field

Ready for the pitch.

After the game. Notice the knees of his pants. He slid into home, twice. He is a great slider.

This is Skyler warming up before the game.

Standing at first base.

Good follow through on the swing.

Ready to swing.
